AMERICAN WOODLAND PHOTOGRAPHY

From a very early age I have enjoyed the outdoors and spent a great deal of time in the mountains of Pennsylvania enjoying its many wildlife inhabitants. Combining this love of the outdoors with an equal passion for photography was a natural occurrence for me.

With the advancement in the quality of digital photography equipment and more to come, I have made the transition in my equipment from film to digital. My work is now performed with a Canon EOS 1DS MK III 22.1MP camera, a Canon EOS 5D 12.4MP camera, and a Canon EOS 1D MK IIN.

I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Professional Photography, after which I completed a 1 year advanced course in Landscape, Nature, Wildlife and Portrait photography.

I have been a recipient of several awards, both scholastically and editorially. Most recently I was awarded an Honorabe Mention in 9 out of 10 Catagories with the International Lucie Awards, Professional Division, which is rated as one of the most prestigious photography contest in the world. I was also awarded First Place in a juried exhibition at Tyme Gallery, Havertown, PA, which consisted of several forms of the art media. As a result of this I was given a 1 month private showing of my work. I was also honored by the Wyoming Companion Magazine for Best Photo of the Year 2002, Yellowstone/Grand Teton Div. and a Honorable Mention for the Landscape Division.

I am a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP), North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), the Photographic Society of America (PSA), and the International Freelance Photographers Organization (IFPO). I also have membership with the National Wildlife Federation, Sierra club, and the National Audubon Society.

I also participate as a Field contributor/Field editor for several magazines in which my work has been published, the NATURE PHOTOGRAPHER, COUNTRY, COUNTRY EXTRA, FARM & RANCH LIVING and EXPOSURE Gallery magazines. I am also a staff photographer for the CHESTER, MONTGOMERY and BUCKS County Town and Country Living Magazines. Further, I hold registration with a Photo Stock Library in London, U.K., who offer my images for sale throughout the world.

The majority of my images are obtained during photo excursions throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New York, with a occasional visit to the beautiful western states of Montana and Wyoming.
